  • Treatment planning: orthodontic treatment planning on the 3D model.
  • Print preparation: preparation of 3D models for 3D printing.

In recent years, digital technology has become the driving force for innovation in many areas of life. The development of design software, 3D printers and surface scanners has had a great impact on orthodontics, and of course on the dental laboratory services of Savaria-Dent.

Our openness to digital technology has not only helped us to develop a new concept for our orthodontic laboratory, but has also facilitated the customisation of several orthodontic appliances, individual solutions, even combined with sintering.

The scanners allow the orthodontist to take high-quality digital impressions of the patient. While chair time is reduced, impression-taking accuracy is increased. With digital imaging, the patient's scanned impression is immediately transferred to the interactive treatment planning software. This means that tooth movement can be digitally adjusted and tracked directly on the screen.

Another major advantage of digitally assisted orthodontics is the computer generation of individual appliances. The precision and accuracy of the treatment can be increased by using custom appliances. For patients, this means better results and faster treatment.
