  Presentation of treatment options and results.
  9-14 year olds - as the most commonly treated age group - typical basal and dental abnormalities, the underlying transversal problems and their treatment options.
   
• Tertiary prevention
  Options for adult orthodontics in cases of transversal narrowing. Surgery and hybrid technologies for successful expansion.

About the speakers: 

DR. VERONIKA DERCSÁR

Dr. Veronika Dercsár's professional career began in the world of orthodontics: after completing her secondary education, she worked for her father's company, which manufactures and distributes orthodontic appliances. It was here that she decided she wanted to understand and shape orthodontic treatments from a clinical perspective, which is why she chose to pursue a career in dentistry.

After graduating in 2007, she began her career as a dentist and then passed her orthodontic exam in 2011. During her professional training, she gained valuable experience during the year she spent at Dr. Daniel Rollet's practice in France. Dr. Rollet was an internationally recognized representative of functional, trainer-based treatments and participated in the development of several Trainer device families.

Between 2007 and 2013, he performed orthodontic treatments in public and private practices in Hungary, then opened his own private practice in 2014. Following Dr. Rollet's death in 2017, he took over his mentor's practice in France and moved there with his family.

The development of the U Concept began more than a decade ago in collaboration with Dr. Rollet and has been actively ongoing ever since. The work focuses on functional devices that are not only effective during treatment, but also more acceptable to patients and comfortable to wear over the long term.

The speaker has presented the U Concept approach and its clinical application in professional courses in several countries, including Japan, the United States, and several European countries. He considers his teaching activities not only a professional task but also a responsibility: his goal is to contribute to the healthier development of the next generation by passing on the functional approach in practice.

DR. MÁRTON ZSOLDOS 

From 2024, he will be a participant in the GC Orthodontics GET Lecturer Programme, having the opportunity to listen to renowned lecturers with a broad professional background, learn about new technological solutions and then share his knowledge with the participants in workshops and lectures.

After graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Debrecen in 2019, he joined the Department of Prosthodontics and Biomaterials as a resident, working in patient care and teaching. Afterwards, working in the family practice, she learned a lot from her father from 40 years of valuable experience. His mother was already a recognised specialist in orthodontics and this was the field that really began to attract him. He completed his orthodontic training at the external training centre of the University of Szeged.

In 2022, after successfully passing the professional examination, she continued her work in the family practice and joined the team of the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry of the University of Szeged. He has also lectured and been invited by the internationally renowned, cutting-edge companies GC Orthodontics and Straumann, Clearcorrect as their in-house lecturer.

Last year, he successfully introduced a new course Modern Orthodontics to the education of the students of the SZTE FOK, where he introduces future dentists to the most advanced modern orthodontic methods and devices.
