Great finishing Made Easy – Adopt the GET/TGO Technique

Date: 14-15 November 2025 (Friday-Saturday)

Place: Budapest - Hotel ZARA  (1074 Budapest, Dohány Street 42-44.)

Language: English

Speaker: Pr. Michel Le Gall (France)

Topic:

The GET/TGO bracket combines the advantages of a self-ligating system with an original prescription specifically designed for the maxillary and mandibular incisor regions.

It is part of a broader, innovative system characterized by a prescription of .020 x .028 inches in the anterior region and brackets of .022 x .028 inches in the posterior region.

The importance of third-order control for the upper incisors becomes particularly significant during certain strategic phases of orthodontic treatment, including:

  • The leveling and decompensation phase of the upper arch;
  • The preparation of anchorage on the mandibular arch and the management of Class II mechanics;
  • The retraction of premolars and canines in extraction cases;
  • The retraction of incisors.

With advancements in orthodontic techniques, the TGO/GET prescription allows these objectives to be achieved through a carefully thought-out mechanical approach and the use of specialized materials. The bracket/wire combination ensures optimized sliding mechanics and a significant reduction in friction, enabling the application of biologically appropriate forces for effective and tissue-friendly tooth movement.

Through various clinical cases ranging from skeletal Class I to Class III, including Class II, whether extractions are indicated or not, we will explore how to develop our treatment plans and approach the mechanics to be implemented.

The retention phase, an essential element for the stability of our treatments, will also be addressed.

Pr. Michel Le Gall maintains a private practice in Aubagne (France) from 1983 thru 2020.

He received his degree in Dental Science from the University of Marseille, France. He completed a post-graduate program in Orthodontics and Dento Facial Orthopedics in the same university in 1986. He got a Masters of Science in Biological Sciences and his PhD degree from the University of Marseille in the field of mechanical-energy in 2009. He obtains his Phd degree in 2011 for a work based on tribology at the interface between bracket, wire and ligature

Pr. Michel Le Gall is currently the Head of the Unit of Orthodontics and Dento Facial Orthopedics at the University Hospital of Marseille. He is involved in pre-doctorate and post-doctorate research as the Director of the Post Graduate Program in Orthodontics as well as a collaborator in the Laboratory of Biomechanical Application.

He is the co-founder with Dr. Stefano Troiani of GET (Goals-Evidence-Treatment), which combine the advantages of the Experience Brackets with a new and unique prescription in the anterior region.

He is a Diplomate of the French Board of Orthodontics, a member of several societies of Orthodontics and the author and co-author in several international publications.
